Catching Up...

Um did I miss Christmas?! Actually, we had a wonderful Christmas this year I just enjoyed our break and January so much that I haven't blogged in awhile. We traveled to Texas and my parents, Landon graduated in December from MBA and we have really enjoyed him being home more and not having to do homework over the holidays. Here are pictures of our holiday celebrations. Did I mention Madilynn is walking!!

Dear Madilynn

Dear Madilynn,

What a sweet year it has been with you in our lives. We were beyond blessed when the Lord gave us a little girl. You are sweet, cuddly, opionated, and so happy, ecspecially when you are home with me, Eli and Daddy. In some ways the year seemed long with a lot of sleepless nights, cries, hunger, and working to get you on a schedule that you would agree too. But most of the time I still can't believe I have two sweet babies. You are blessed with a wonderful, fun, and joyful brother who cares for you, wants to make you laugh and you want to be right next to him most of the time. As long as you don't knock over his block towers or train tracks you seem to get along wonderfully. You really do love Eli! He was the first one to make you laugh, you watch him intently and try to repeat things he does, like turn flips on the floor.

We love you sweet Madilynn, you fit into our family perfectly, what a gift you are to all of us.

Madilynn turns one!

Madilynn is one! We had so much fun celebrating her birthday in October. Grammie and Pops came from Texas and we celebrated at JJ and pawpaw's house. Ashley, Kyle, Di, Bud, Dee, Vicki, Ragan and Leah all came to see this sweet girl. She enjoyed her cupcake and loved the ballon. Here are the pictures...

 

 

 

 

 

Eli's Debut

 

Eli's favorite song is the Veggie Tales song and he loves to sing it. He set up this little microphone stand and wanted us all to sing along. He calls it 'Beggie tales". I like to think Madilynn is trying to be the back up singer. And Landon just gets carried away at the end. Wonder where Eli gets that from?

My Little Pumpkins

I love fall and I love the Pumpkin Patch. We have gone every year since Eli has been born and it is funny to think that last year I was VERY pregnant with Madilynn. This year it was fun to have both of them there. Eli picked out his on very little pumpkin and wanted to look at all the scarecrows and pick up every pumpkin.

11 months

Fall just makes me think of Madilynn. Probably because she was born in October and we brought her home to pumpkins, hot drinks, and fall decorations. She is pulling up on everything. She just started clapping and waving and repeats 'uh, oh' when we say it. Her smile takes up her entire face and she still laughs at Eli all the time. We love our little Madi moo moo.

9 and 10 months

Since I'm a few months behind here are Madilynn's 9 month and 10 month pictures. She is getting to be so much fun! She is crawling everywhere and she loves to eat grilled cheese and pizza, eventhough she has no teeth yet. (we cut them in really really small bites). She is our sweet sweet girl and Eli is such a great big brother to her. My favorite thing is watching them together.

This was her at the end of the photo shoot with her hair all messed up because I couldn't keep her still. I made her little top out of a vintage pillow case.

Eli's First Day of School

Eli started Mothers Day Out two days a week and is doing great. I could tell he was a little nervous the first day and cried for just a few seconds. He picked out his material for his mat and picked out CARS and I made him a cover for it. He now says he really likes school and runs into the class. He even asked the teacher if he could sleep under the table for nap time and she said he could. I love my little big boy going to school! Here are a few pictures on the first day. He is standing on his mat and quickly told me his back pack was too heavy to carry.

Summer update

I have a lot to catch up on as summer is about to end, one being my sister got married. (another blog post for that) However, before heading to New Mexico for her wedding we went to Texas to spend time with  Landon's family. It is great to be in their home, I feel like it is a little vacation for us, a break from our normal routine and really good food. Plus Fort Worth has WAY more things to see and do then Jackson. Landon even took me to an AWESOME fabric store. We also went to the Lake with his family which was really fun. Eli loved swimming but didn't like it as much when the boat was moving. He wanted to be held tight and said he was scared of the fish. Here are some pictures from that trip...

8 Months Old

Little Madilynn is getting big. Here is her 8 month picture and some pictures my friend Keely Hart took of her. So so sweet! She is finally sleeping through the night and has just started to wave. My mom made the smocked yellow dress she is wearing.
